Yeah, was gonna post in the seminar section of the forum... The June seminar was postponed due to lack of participation. We are hoping to get in something after the holidays, after the first of the year, prior to the show...stay tuned and I'll update when we firm up on dates.

taxidermyo! I have a legal question. Is it legal to sell a mountain lion rug in California? Some places online say yes, but others say no. I appreciate your help!

Hi there!
My name is Jacki, originally from Michigan, I've been living in the Bay Area for the past ten years.
My Grandpa was a taxidermist, as a teen I helped him with airbrushing and other finishing steps on quite a few large African mounts. And spent a lot of time with him in the shop.
I would like to get more involved in taxidermy this year. I did my first rabbit last fall. I have my BFA with an emphasis in Drawing.
Currently I'm working at a music company in Oakland. I'm willing to travel to learn more, so if you know of any opportunities please do be in touch! Super excited to see a forum here!
I'm really looking forward to the show, and I'll be sending in my membership application this weekend!

taxidermyo Forum Friends! Been away for a while (not by my choosing), but I am happy to say I have returned to restart my interests in the art. I am a weekend commercial taxidermist and have been in and out for about 40 years (my Northwestern School of Taxidermy diploma reads 1973!). I met some of you at a CAT convention a few years back and I hope to reconnect. I'm excited to be back!

It wouldn't hurt to bring something to show as we'll have some awesome judges to critique you. Cha

Hey guys my name is Miguel Ortega. I am an indie filmmaker currently looking for taxtidermy artists that would like to help us on a project (PAID) We need some insert shots of someone working on a taxidermy piece. Ideally a mid-large mammal.
The project trailer is here:
Our film is based around early natural history museums and an adventurer searching for a famed Japanese creature known as the ningyo. This film will not portray taxidermy in a negative light at all. Im quite the collector myself.
We are located in Los Angeles and can travel to you. please submit any interest directly to my email at miguel@monstersculptor.com
Thanks so much! M
