I am fortunate to have my own deer herd that frequent my property (that's right, they are mine)... The family and I enjoy watching and photographing them, seeing them grow and mature over the past several years. In the past there has been as many as 8 different bucks that frequent the property, this year we were blessed with 14... Each buck gets a nick-name. "triple crown throw down", is a nice three point that I could often find eating acorns in the yard at first light with his buddy "freak nasty", loved having him around. Unfortunately, he showed up the other night with a severely broken rear leg. After clearing it through fish and game it was decided he needed to be taken out if possible, and that's what we did. Here is a photo of the boy and I with TCTD.... Side notes, the meat went to a local family in need, I got a great cape, and packing out a deer with a backhoe is awesome!
