Here's a cool tip on finishing the eyes of your finished bird mounts. Remove any apoxy, clay, ect. from the eyes. Clean both eyes well with a Q-Tip, moistened with windex. Position the mounted bird to where the head is horzontal & flat. Dip a small artist brush into Future acrylic floor finish, drop the liquid directly onto the center of the eye. The clear liquid will flow naturally into the gaps between the glass eye and eye lids. Let it dry momentarly before doing the opposite side.
This technique results an awesome appearence in depth and realism. Never attempt to apply the liquid onto an eye when the bird is in a normal/upright/vertical position. Excess liquid will run and pool at the bottom eyelid, possibly dripping onto the cheek feathers....UGH!
Good luck, Gary.
